As Director of Education at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, I am responsible for all of the education programming at our center. I oversee the staff responsible for developing and implementing programs for school children, families, and adults. In addition, I supervise the School in the Park program, the Fleet Inquiry Institute for teacher professional development, and the Nierman Challenger Learning Center. I am also responsible for strategic planning, grant development, and project management related to the education department.
Prior to my work at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, I managed a science outreach program for San Diego State University. I also spent several years working in biology research labs at the University of California, San Diego and Arizona State University.
I completed my BS in Biology at Arizona State University and my MA in Curriculum and Instruction at San Diego State University. I am currently completing my MA in Educational Technology at San Diego State.
